The 2018 Toyota Camry (US) was introduced to the public at the North American International Auto Show in January 2017 and will go on sale a few months later. It is the eighth generation of the global Camry variant known by the index XV60. The new Camry got an updated, sportier design, it is wider and lower than the outgoing model and features a new Camry logo. Even more aggressive styling prepared for SE and XSE trims which includes sportier bumpers, rear lip spoiler and rear diffuser, grille with mesh inserts. The XSE rides on the gorgeous 19-inch black alloy wheels.
The interior of the 2018 Camry features redesigned seats and front panel, trimmed with higher grade materials. The latest generation of the Toyota Entune 3.0 infotainment system comes with standard navigation. Optionally it could be equipped with a JBL premium audio system, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and 10-inch colour HUD. Safety systems list include an auto high beams, pre-collision system which detects pedestrians, cruise control with radar, lane departure alert with steering assist as a standard. On higher trim levels are available blind-spot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic alert technology.
Based on a new global platform, the new Camry promises improved driving dynamics, thanks to an increased structural rigidity, re-engineered rear suspension and lower gravity. In the US the 2018 Toyota Camry will be powered by three drivetrains: 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, 3.5-liter V6 unit and the hybrid power station. Power to the wheels will be transmitted throw an 8-speed automatic gearbox and CVT transmission on the hybrid model.
