The 2018 SsangYong Rexton (Y400) was revealed at the 2017 Seoul Motor Show in March 2017. It is all new generation of the mid-size SUV, which will be marketed as SsangYong G4 Rexton on a local market. Built on the new Quad-Frame platform, it measures 4850 mm long, 1920 mm wide, 1800 mm high, and gets a 2864 mm wheelbase. So new Rexton longer and wider than the outgoing model, but it also lighter, thanks to a new platform.
The interior trimmed in better quality materials, features same modern and stylish design as the exterior. Inside there is an all-new infotainment system equipped with a 9.2-inch touchscreen and compatible with an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone technologies. Safety systems includes lane departure warning, autonomous braking and surround-view camera.
The new SsangYong Rexton available with a rear- and all-wheel drive, could be powered by a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel motor (133kW/420Nm) or a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine (165kW/350Nm), both aggregates with a seven-speed Mercedes-Benz automatic transmission.
