The 2017 Mitsubishi ASX is unveiled in 2016 an updated version of the first generation model. It the United States it is marketed under Outlander Sport model name and in the Canada as a Mitsubishi RVR. The new ASX received refreshed front facial, featuring the ‘Dynamic Shield’ styling early used for the facelifted Outlander and new Pajero Sport, and severals other small tweaks such a ‘shark-antenna‘ on the roof, redesigned and relocated switches inside, and updated software for the infotainment system, but still without support for the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. The safety features include rear-view camera with reversing sensors and seven airbags, but there are no popular advanced functions such as a lane-departure warning system for example. The 2017 Mitsubishi ASX has kept a wide range of engines of the previous model (from 1.6-litre diesel to 2.4-litre petrol engine, various by market), still available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions, with a front-wheel-drive or all-wheel drive systems.
