The Lotus Cars is a British sports and racing cars manufacturer founded in 1952. The company owned by Malaysian automotive company Proton, which is a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM concern. It is based in Norfolk, England. The Lotus well-known for it long and successful history in Formula One and to models Elise, Elan, Esprit. Now its model range consists of four base models: Evora, Exige, Elise and 3-Eleven, almost all of which is available in several versions, including the special editions and track only. The Lotus also owns the engineering consultancy company Lotus Engineering, which helps other manufacturers to develop and tune various cars.
