The 2017 Land Rover Discovery is a 5-door 3-row mid-size SUV, which global premiere take place at 2016 Paris Motor Show in September 2016. It built on a platform used for the luxury models Range Rover and Range Rover Sport and got a modern and fresh styling with sleeker lines. The design of 2017 Discovery was previewed at the 2014 New York Auto Show by the Discovery Vision Concept. There also is performance and compact version of this SUV called Discovery Sport.
Inside the 7-seats cabin, there is all-new interior with a leather upholstery and panoramic glass roof. The new infotainment system equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen, 9 USB ports and Wi-Fi hotspot. The driver can fold the rear two rows of seats with the simple touch of an icon on the screen or even from home with the help of the mobile application. The sound could be delivered to driver and passengers from 825W sound system with subwoofer and 14 speakers.
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery could be powered by the several diesel and petrol engines, including efficient four-cylinder diesel unit with a 240 hp output and supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine producing 335 hp. All engines paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. An updated terrain response system can work with a new off-road cruise control feature – All-Terrain Progress Control feature, allowing the driver to concentrate on tricky trails.
