The 2017 XT5 built on a new lightweight chassis (278 lb / 126 kg lighter than an SRX), available with front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. In the US, it has a 3.6-liter petrol V6 engine producing 310 hp (231 kW) and 271 lb·ft (367 N·m) torque. This engine is equipped with automatic start-stop and cylinder deactivation systems, that helps to improve fuel economy. It works with 8-speed automatic transmission which features GM Electronic Precision Shift. In China, it offered to customers with a 2-liter 4-cylinder petrol turbocharged engine which produce 258 hp (192 kW) of power and 295 lb·ft (400 N·m) of torque.
The Cadillac XT5 is offered in four trim levels, featuring adjustable rear seats and hands-free liftgate, rear camera mirror and surround vision system, infotainment system with Apple Car and Android Play compatability and DVD for rear seats, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning sysytems, Pedestrian Collision Mitigation technology and many other options.
